Nothing against the visual page builders, I am enjoying experimenting with Elementor after seeing the way Reclaim’s sites are looking.
I have a project where the first version was done with Divi, and we are looking to export and move maybe into Pressbooks. The problem is the wordpress export is full of shortcodes and also spans filled with formatting. There are some WP functions for wiping shortcode, but hoping not to need custom coding.
Any thoughts on how to clean? I was looking at this plugin; if the divi plugin is not installed, all the shortcodes are broken and can be removed by it.
thinking of setting up a dev site to import into, clean the shortcodes, and then export again. Has anyone done a migration from a visual builder site to something else? Need cleaning advice.
