Giving discount code after user has opted-in to my mailing list

Here’s the scenario:

  1. User visits my website for the first time. He sees a pop-up asking him to subscribe to my newsletter.
  2. If he enters his email and submits, he’ll get a confirmation email in his Inbox. AFTER he confirms and opt-in, then he’ll get another email with the discount code.

How would I go about doing this? I’m on WooCommerce + Elementor (Pro) and Mailchimp.
I’ve already nailed down the pop-ups part with Elementor, but not sure about the rest.

What plugins do I need? I’m not sure if Mailchimp has some function that can detect new email sign-ups and then auto-sends discount codes based on that.
