Doubts about subdomain

Hello, I’m new here.

I’m here because I need to create a discouse community.
My root domain goes to Blogspot site., so I need to change dns to point here, ok?
I need to be sure that this will work well.

I ask before purchasing the service, because once happened to me that I was struggling to redirect a subdomain previously registered to the hosting site I bought.

Excuse my ignorance about it.

Hey there,

Apologies for the late reply. Regarding our Discourse service it actually gets pointed to a different IP address and works just fine on a subdomain. We send information on how to point the DNS records properly (and if the domain is registered with us we take care of it for you).
